On 15 August 2023 at the U.S. Consulate General in Montreal, the Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Montreal, Eugene Czolij, had a meeting with the U.S. Consul General in Montreal, Robert P. Sanders, to convey the importance to actively support Ukraine and strengthen sanctions against Russia to enable Ukraine to win as soon as possible Russia’s all-out war against Ukraine and ensure thereby peace, security and stability in Europe.
Eugene Czolij also told Consul General Robert P. Sanders that Ukrainians understand the pain of Americans over the devastation caused by the fires in Hawaii and fully sympathize with them.
Following this meeting, the U.S. Consulate General in Montreal published on Linkedln that: “During a courtesy meeting with the Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Montreal, Eugene Czolij, the Consul General Robert P. Sanders reiterated the U.S. government's unwavering support for Ukraine and its people, as well as the Consulate's continued engagement with the Ukrainian community of Canada in Montreal”.
